A New Beginning…

A New Blessing…..

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland" (Isaiah 43:19).

A traveller continues along a familiar path. But when that path comes to an end, a new way must be found to reach the destination.

Today's verse is God's message to those who believed that the road had ended and that there was no hope of deliverance...

The sighs and cries of those whose lives were trapped in Babylonian captivity were, at some point, joined by genuine repentance.

It was then, at the very place where everything seemed to be over, that the compassionate God decided to open a new path.

By reminding His people of His mighty works in the past, God declared that He would once again act on their behalf.

When the heartbroken cries of the people in Goshen, Egypt, rose to heaven, God came down at Horeb.

There, a simple shepherd...

A man who saw only his own weaknesses...

Was chosen to lead six hundred thousand people...!

Before those who wept as their sons were being killed, who feared the destruction of their entire race, God opened a new way.

The generations who feared they would be wiped out eventually possessed the Promised Land...!!

Now, to the people living in Babylon, God says:

"I will open a new way.

You will not perish in this land of captivity.

Cyrus, a Gentile king, will issue the great proclamation for your return."

For the journey home of His people, God prepared new paths through the wilderness and provided streams in the barren land.

Dear friends,

Where it seems that everything has come to an end...

Where everything appears impossible...

Even there, God is able to create new paths

and bless us with new goodness.
